The task gets you to create a piano accompaniment from a recording of a simple chord progression in the style of a contemporary pop/rock ballad and allows you to demonstrate range of music skills, including those you developed in lesson 1 and 2 of this course.

In this lesson, you’ll be guided through the process of completing your assessment task. Each part of this lesson will walk you through different stages of the task, offering guidance and tips along the way. However, please remember that this lesson is only a guide. What’s most important is that you closely follow the instructions and requirements provided in the assessment task itself.

By the end of this lesson, you will have completed the work you need to submit for assessment, but remember that the key to success is ensuring you refer back to the PDF of the assessment task regularly.
